The Role
The placement was interesting and I was exposed to a variety of experiences and types of work
I did not feel particularly valued
My colleagues gave me advice throughout my placement
Every day was very busy
I was given as much responsibility as I would expect on an internship
The sales skills I picked up will be helpful, and my understanding of the workplace environment has definitely improved. The other skills I learnt were quite specific to Enterprise.
The Company
It began in high spirits but deteriorated
The internship was organised well; the three days of training at the beginning of the internship made a big difference.
The company dedicated three days at the start of the placement to training, and also arranged a day in the middle of the placement for additional training at the head office.
Enterprise offers a wide range of career opportunities in plenty of different departments if you are willing to work in retail for a few years first.
The Culture
I was able to work in a branch in the city I attend university in so the living costs were cheap as rent was already covered.
I have not really made use of the nightlife over the summer.
There were not many opportunities outside of work
