The Role
Hugely. A busy but hugely beneficial and enjoyable four weeks.
Very much so. Was given beneficial work to complete and made to feel very welcome and part of team in which I was placed.
I was given a suitable level of guidance and support, enough to feel comfortable with the work I was asked to complete.
I was generally given a steady stream of work. I felt that I could however have coped and benenfited from more work on a daily basis.
I feel I was given a good level of responsibility for the work I was involved in during my placement, which was suitable for my present experience.
The skills and training I developed will not directly assist me in my degree, they will however be of importance and hugely benenficial in my postgraduate studies. (MA and APC route to become a RICS Chartered Surveyor).
The Company
Quite quiet considering the size of the office space and quantity of employees, but a strong team spirit and generally positive atmosphere.
Very well organized. All internship students were individually placed within a team for the duration of the placement. Throughout the placement, several organized talks about the different departments within the company were given. Internship students were sent numerous event invitations to Savills events, and thus made to feel fully integrated during the duration of the work experience.
To a large extent, I was made to feel as though Savills were really interested and really invested in those students they had invited to complete an internship with them.
Company Parties/Events
I would love to work for Savills and am going to apply in October for a place on their Graduate Scheme.
The Culture
The best and most enthusiastic company I have experienced in terms of social scene, amongst both fellow Summer students and colleagues.
Both cost of living and socialising near Greem Park are very high.
A lot of fun and huge variety.
Was given the opportunity to be involved in sports events that were not work related. (Women's hockey match)
