The Role
Good networking opportunities, decent work experience, friendly colleagues, good canteen
My colleagues were professional and respectful of summer students.
Not just my supervisor but other people gave me guidance and work. It's more realistic that way and it allowed me to work with more people and prove myself more.
The scheme is designed to keep you rather busy but not crazily so. Each person's experience is different though, as I heard, some are really extreme.
The work was at the right level. They do take into account which stage you are at (2nd year, or post LPC, etc..)
Great exposure to real work and law firm culture. This is no walk in the park though. It's for real and rather hard.
The Company
Reasonably friendly, very busy.
There was a quick networking skills training which was helpful to some extent.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
This is a decent place to work (not glamorous, in a good way).
The Culture
My group was very friendly and balanced.
What nightlife?
Sports, music (there is a house band)
