The Role
The company has a fantastic culture, people are open to help and answer questions. This environment made it easier to adapt to the dynamics of the corporate world. It is a unique company in the Finance industry!
People see you as an intern who is learning but there is always space for you to contribute. They don't really expect you to know it all and add value all the time, so if you are able to be creative and give suggestions w+you will be valued that much more.
My manager was extremely helpful, initially giving me guidance on how to learn as much as possible and how to contribute to the team. Nonetheless, it is important to take initiative and find ways to contribute to day to day tasks without direction.
I think in the beginning of internships it is always hard for the teams to delegate work since they are not aware of how much knowledge you have. Use this opportunity to engage and meet with as many people as possible. With time, responsibility will come and I feel i was extremely busy by the end of it, joining work with external HR activities.
I think in the beginning of internships it is always hard for the teams to delegate work since they are not aware of how much knowledge you have. Important to find a way to prove you are worth!
Independent of the area you are put in there are invaluable skills you will develop in a corporate internship: networking, ability to engage with senior people, time management, etc...
The Company
Great culture, great people and fantastic atmosphere. Unique place to work in the finance industry. People are extremely helpful and open. I feel it was important for everyone to work with people they like and therefore despite different styles everyone seemed really interesting and friendly. Jokes throughout work were welcomed.
A lot of extra HR activities were organised. Extremely well thought of and complementary to our work. Constant opportunities to network with other interns and across business areas were extremely valuable.
1 week of training i the beginning of the internship. Useful to hear about the different areas of the business and get some exposure to technical aspects of the asset management industry.

Company Parties/Events
Good opportunities for development across the company. Mobility is a important value of the organisation, being across regions or across business areas. The company is focusing in retaining it talent ad therefore creates unique programs to help people drive their careers where they want them.
The Culture
We had a lot of events to foster our relationships. This allowed to meet people across teams and feel like a freshers class at university. Fantastic environment which allowed people to have social activities outside work.
this is the city so it is expensive! Nonetheless, people are friendly and are always keen to meet up and go for drinks after work.
Not that many clubs, but good bars and pubs. A bit overpriced since it is the city after all. You adjust and find ways quickly to spend less.
yes, from sports to charity events the company hr team organises a group of dynamics outside the workplace to make sure you engage with people across the business areas.
