The Role
I had two supervisors who were always around to offer support and guidance when needed
All students in the department had certain areas where only they knew how to do the tasks which gives you a lot of responsibility to get things right
Some of the skills were very company/job specific however many of the skills learnt will be transferable to other jobs
The Company
Everyone got on well and made an effort with each person they interacted with. There was always an element of humour in the office too without letting the atmosphere become too unprofessional.
They have a good programme in place.
There was plenty of training opportunities however given my busy workload i was not able to take on many of these other than the mandatory ones.
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
International Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Within the department i worked in there are no places however all students were given an end of year performance review and will be considered for other areas of the company.
The Culture
Excellent social scene arranged by elected students
The cost was very manageable leaving enough money for essentials and going out
The nightlife wasn't great in Swindon however the people made it much better!
There were so many opportunities to get involved in sports, charity work, social events etc
