The Role
I loved every second. The internship experience has given me invaluable insight into HR and the business that I wouldn't otherwise have. I have had incredible exposure to all aspects of HR and have been given massive amounts of responsibility within my team.
My team have been incredibly supportive and are always happy to answer questions. I feel I have great relationships with everyone my team.
I have been supported fully throughout the program and my manager/supervisor have helped open doors and introduced me to very experienced people.
Very busy! But I wouldn't have had it any other way. I have learnt so much in such a short space of time and that's credit to the amount of responsibility and trust the team have given me
Lots! I've been very lucky to have the level of responsibility I have had.
I have learnt valuable skills that can be transferred both to future jobs and further education. It's a completely different way of learning and doing things that I have never experienced before and feel that these new skills will prove useful in everyday life!
The Company
Very friendly, collaborative and supportive
Very! There were several events set up for us throughout the internship both social and work related.
The firm have invested massive amounts into their interns and have helped train and develop us to hopefully become full time employees.
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Very! Fingers crossed.
The Culture
Yes- the social scene was more prevalent in departments where there were larger numbers of interns but we made an effort!
Dinners/socializing was the same as anywhere in London. But Canary Wharf is a lovely place to work and is targeted at the economically active population so all shops are targeted for the employees in the surrounding offices (dry cleaning, parcel pick up etc.)
There are plenty of bars etc. in the canary Wharf area which are always buzzing.
There are plenty of clubs within JP Morgan which I would be interested in joining if I were to be offered a place on the graduate scheme.
