The Role
Loved the job - didn't feel as though i was a placement student. Was welcomed by everyone in the hospital
Everyone I met was keen to know me as an individual, and not as a placement student, from the likes of department managers, senior finance accountants, finance staff, to our Chief Exec and Finance Director even medical staff.
Was guided daily, and offered to take on additional jobs. Felt if i had any problems i wouldn't hesitate to ask anyone within Finance.
Very Busy - Every day was different (other then month end)
Lots of responsibility - Working for the FD was the highest amount of responsibility give, but i was a finance link for R&D also
Three times in a year, placement talks in birmingham as well as regional monthly events if you would like to attend.
The Company
Atmosphere was friendly, everyone was happy, no back chat etc.
Placement scheme was well organised and got the best out of me and tested me alot
The company invested a hefty some into my learning and expanding, with all the placement talks etc and events i went on.

The Culture
Didn't do much with the other students - maily because i lived at home during the duration But on the placement talks we all met up and went for a drink
I lived at home and was fairly cheap where i live.
Nightlife is good, very quiet
No - activities in the hospital But people played sports e.g. badminton football i was already taking part in sport the days they went on though :(
