    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really enjoyed the people, the firm, the level of work I was given and the nights out with the trainees. Would happily work there.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone was very welcoming and made an effort as much as they could in a busy week. Trainees were very welcoming and approachable.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Very busy supervisor and trainee buddy during my week, but when they could and were available they both made an effort to keep an eye on me and my work. Others were kind enough to fill in when they weren't able to I never felt left out on my own.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Busy enough to keep me working but I got through all the work I had been assigned successfully by the end of the week.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Really appreciated doing trainee level work and feeling on par with what most of the trainees in the department were doing or had done at one part. Treated with a lot of respect and confidence in my abilities which made me more confident in taking on each project.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Hard to tell so early on in my qualification, but certainly learned a lot about a larger firm which I will take with me and about the more social aspects.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I entered at a very busy time in my department, so people were very busy but still took some time to speak to me and the trainees were great after work.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Overall, very well done but the scheduling could have been a bit better to give us more time in our departments.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I felt very well invested in and taken care of by the firm.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I had a really positive exit discussion with my supervisor, but I know that many of the other vac schemers are just as good as me, but I really hope I get taken on.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Great group of people, very much a big family with the social aspects of a small firm.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Its Leeds, it can be as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be but we did a pretty good job for everything we did.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Like I said, it's Leeds. Great life in general.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Trainees made a big effort to keep us vac schemes involved in as much as we could be in a week.

    5/5
