The Role
It was an interesting and productive experience that enabled me to engage in different project activities and work with very experience colleagues.
My team was very supportive and made me feel like a valued team member.
My manager was very willing to provide me with appropriate support and guidance when needed.
I happened to join my team during a very busy period for their project and as a result I had the opportunity to take on several responsibilities.
My team entrusted me with several project-related activities providing support where appropriate.
Throughout my internship I had the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of several business areas within the organisation which I believe will be very useful for my next steps.
The Company
I felt that the wider business area in which I was involved operated in a rather friendly and supportive environment.
In many respects the success of this placement was based on the willingness and efficiency of those people working with us on a day to day basis. In terms of the overall set-up of this programme I would say that there were a few administrative issues that could have been dealt with before hand and allow us to focus on our roles.
There was training offered before and during the programme yet It wasn't always particularly helpful for our day to day job.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
The most valuable asset of the organisation at the moment would be its employees and for that reason I would definitely consider employment opportunities within RBS in the future, hoping to work with so experienced and efficient colleagues again .
The Culture
.
Edinburgh is not the cheapest city in the UK yet I would say that the living costs are near to reasonable..
