The Role
Very enjoyable and informative experience.
I felt part of the team and worked on tasks that were valued by the whole team. On top of this, they were very keen on my personal development and learning.
There was a raft of support and guidance from my team as well as other employees of the bank. Everyone was willing to sit down with me to provide me feedback and learning opportunity.
I always had work to do during the internship and was kept busy by my team, however, not to the extent I was unable to finish tasks outside of working hours.
After demonstrating my ability to learn and the knowledge I had built up, my team were giving a huge amount of responsibility, for example writing credit analysis, creating presentations and etc.
The skills I have learnt through the internship will help with my time management skills, work ethic and communication throughout the rest of my degree but also after that too.
The Company
Office environment was very relaxed and aided my development and learning.
The internship was generally very organised, only improvement would be to find out placements earlier.
Throughout the internship, RBS set up conference calls, presentations and networking to enhance our learning and development. Additionally, my team was very willing to take time out for me.
Company Parties/Events
The company have a great graduate programme, that provides plenty of opportunity
The Culture
It was OK however, could be improved.
Quite expensive (around Liverpool St)
Very vibrant (Shoreditch).
Not really.
