The Role
I would definitely recommend the placement scheme if anyone is interested in Walker Morris. You really get a feel for the actual firm.
They always gave me work that they actually needed doing, as opposed to just for the sake of it. Were always grateful that I'd tried even when it wasn't perfect.
Even though I was there on a really busy week, my supervisor managed to have a number of chats with me about what to do and more importantly how I was doing. I felt it was good to receive this feedback so I could improve.
Although sometimes given a number if tasks at once it was all about prioritising and I did manage to get everything done without having to stay for hours,
I was given responsibility in doing the work, but it was obviously checked and altered before it was used.
The two training sessions with BPP and College of Law were useful and I feel will be beneficial in the long run.
The Company
Everyone was really friendly and always made time for a chat, but they worked very hard too.
Had a timetable given to us before the week started and everything followed that. The department also knew I was there and had some brief information about me.
I think the week is more about you deciding if you could work at Walker Morris, and Walker Morris deciding if you fit in.

The Culture
Everyone was really sociable and we went out for drinks nearly every night.
Leeds is well priced for students.
Walker Morris were holding a charity dinner that we were invited along to. This was outside or vac scheme opportunities.
