    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I would definitely recommend the placement scheme if anyone is interested in Walker Morris. You really get a feel for the actual firm.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • They always gave me work that they actually needed doing, as opposed to just for the sake of it. Were always grateful that I'd tried even when it wasn't perfect.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Even though I was there on a really busy week, my supervisor managed to have a number of chats with me about what to do and more importantly how I was doing. I felt it was good to receive this feedback so I could improve.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Although sometimes given a number if tasks at once it was all about prioritising and I did manage to get everything done without having to stay for hours,

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given responsibility in doing the work, but it was obviously checked and altered before it was used.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The two training sessions with BPP and College of Law were useful and I feel will be beneficial in the long run.

    3/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was really friendly and always made time for a chat, but they worked very hard too.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Had a timetable given to us before the week started and everything followed that. The department also knew I was there and had some brief information about me.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I think the week is more about you deciding if you could work at Walker Morris, and Walker Morris deciding if you fit in.

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

  • Everyone was really sociable and we went out for drinks nearly every night.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Leeds is well priced for students.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • 5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
