The Role
I have gotten a great insight into what my initial years at the company will be like. However, I did not get to experience different areas of department. It would have been useful to rotate to gain a knowledge of my department a bit more. I did get to meet a lot of interesting and senior people which helped me when considering my future career. The work was a bit too admin based however, and felt like a temp job at times.
I was given differing work by my whole team and the work I did contributed to the team output at different levels (including at board level). I was always given feedback and made to feel as if I were an asset, rather than a burden
From the beginning, I was entrusted with doing work alone and was given responsibility for my own timetable. I was able to ask for help if needed and I was given feedback which helped with my development. I was invited to high level meetings and asked to contribute. I felt like I was a part of the team and not just an intern. The work that I am doing is done using my own initiative and planning; it was daunting at first but helpful for my learning experience
The Company
Dull
It could have been better organised. I felt that the induction week was not useful and far too long for what was covered
