The Role
I really enjoyed my internship, I was exposed to an area of the bank I wouldn't have expected, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Being in entrepreneurship was an enlightening experience. Working for RBS has given my the experience of working in a big corporate environment, but with the personalised entrepreneurship team.
I felt valued by my line manager, he trusted me with work to do and continually praised my efforts. My colleagues were always appreciative and supportive in helping me with my work. I had great feedback from senior colleagues on my project work.
I was given good support by my manager when I asked for it. Sometimes there were delays in help due to distance or busyness of supervisors.
I had project work and CSR work, but my day to day work was sometimes limited. I did not get any extra work from my colleague or manager despite asking.
I was not given much responsibility, being an intern meant I could not take part in any official work.
Soft skills have developed.
