The Role
Good area to be in but team was too busy and struggled to engage me. A very steep learning curve coupled with a lack of guidance due to time restraints led to a poor overall experience
I did not
People did genuinely try to involve me but the busy nature of our department meant that managers did not have time to explain every concept and I, as an intern, did not want to bother my manager with menial questions and quandries
Split between nothing to do on days, filing on other days and 2 or 3 proper projects scattered throughout
Due to the nature of the area I was in i.e. deals taking 9-12months, nothing I did was actual contributing to the business or actually used
Skills in analytics have definitely improved and I am now able to speak more fluently about the area I wish to enter
The Company
Solemn, head down working with little else outside of the occasional joke a day thrown out
Not well, little structure. Credit to my Line manager who tried to get be involved but there was very little in place upon my arrival to the office
Fitch sessions initially were very good
They are not
The Culture
Yes - Great crowd of people
Especially expensive due to festivals going on during placement
Good
No
