The Role
It was really enjoyable and gave you the chance to witness a wide variety of business areas across the bank.
My immediate team and also various wider team members made me feel very welcomed and valued. The working culture is really good.
Line managers are really helpful and are always there to help. They are very busy in their day jobs but given the appropriate time, they are always willing to help and better your understanding.
Very busy. The workload can be daunting but as long as your are able to organise and plan, it is not too bad.
It tended to increase with time. Towards the middle/end expectation increased and I was responsible for creating documents/items that would be directly sent to clients.
You continually develop skills day to day which help going forward. The training is there to provide a platform which eventually all becomes useful day to day.
The Company
Brilliant. There was lots of good banter between colleagues but there was also a serious element also. The working culture was good to be a part of.
Generally very good. Sometimes we needed more clarity, but otherwise it was generally very good.
They always helped to develop, though this often was down to you. Whilst there was development programmes in place, I found taking the initiative yourself was more beneficial as your could tailor your development accordingly.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Very. It is a great organisation to work for, which I think has been unfairly given negative coverage in the press.
The Culture
Yes, we met up everyday for lunch and went out periodically.
Not too bad, in line with my university.
It was good.
Yes, lots of events and sports socials.
