The Role
Enjoyed it - opportunity to spend 4 weeks on 2 different desks within capital markets was a great opportunity.
I was given good feedback from my teams and a good level of responsibility.
Line managers were regularly able to help, I received quite a lot of assistance as summer is a quieter time for them.
Hours could be quite long, some nights till after midnight or so and busy most of the day. Very few days with nothing to do.
Given good responsibility creating pitch books and doing financial modelling
Really good financial analysis skills and modelling skills were developed
The Company
Nice, working with a lot of friendly and sociable people.
Good chances, RBS has made its major restructuring changes, looking to build business again and focus on its core areas.
The Culture
Free I was at home, but London is expensive
