The Role
Really enjoyed it. Had a fantastic experience here. Was treated extremely well by HR and the team i was working with. Was given alot of exposure and opportunities and was treated like one of the team as opposed to 'just an intern'. The work i was involved in really interested me.
Colleagues treated me extremely well. Treated me like a full time co-worker. Attended important meetings with seniors and executives, was also invited to attend audios, meetings, events etc not just by my manager but by my whole team and the head of the team too which was fantastic. Felt like people genuinely cared about me and wanted me to do well and were always positive, encouraging and inclusive. Cannot say a word about any of them. Truly phenomenal group of people. I was extremely fortunate to be working with some a great team of people.
I was given alot of support. Felt appreciated and valued. They all checked in on me on a daily and weekly basis and asked how i was getting on and challenged me to think about what i had learnt and what i would like to learn and what i would like to do. They seemed to genuinely value my opinion and care about my welfare and personal development. Was amazing.
Had plenty of work to do, whenever i got overly stressed my manager always encouraged me to realise that 'saying no' to work from her or other people was not a bad thing. She reminded me to manage expectations and only take on what i feel comfortable with whilst also reminding me to challenge myself. Perfect balance all around.
Alot! I was truly given so much responsibility it was great. Felt like one of the team, truly valued, and respected and also admired! It was fantastic. Had alot of exposure to important documents, people and projects it was amazing.
Skills for life. learnt so much about the world of work, what its like to work in a corporate organisation and the importance of people skills, exceeding expectations and helping others.
