The Role
I really enjoyed it.
I felt valued by my team and that they felt I was of help to them.
My manager was very good at giving me support and other team members I asked for advice were very helpful.
I got busier in the second half of the internship.
I was given a lot of responsibility in my internship, especially in 2 weeks when my manager was away.
I have gained many skills from communication to time management. These skills will assist be greatly in managing my studies and working towards deadlines.
The Company
It was a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Chilled and easy to work in.
It was organized fairly well but could have been a little more structured. We had team overviews set up by one of the interns managers which were really helpful.
I had a lot of time for development and training from my manager. The firm gives you access to a wide range of online trainings but there could have been more classroom trainings in the office or specific role trainings.
Opportunity of offer for graduate scheme at the end of internship so very appealing.
The Culture
There was more a social scene amongst the younger colleagues but events in the office were rare.
Edinburgh is fairly costly but its all about knowing the right places.
There are a range of clubs and bars in Edinburgh. August particularly a good time as the fringe festival is on.
I got involved in the charities committee and also in social events.
