The Role
level of work was not consistent; spent a lot of my time with no work to complete
felt reasonably valued, however I was not given any work to do which made me feel less valued. Wanted more responsibility but was not given much at all which was disappointing.
I was given a reasonable amount of support in terms of the two projects that I had been set by my managers and also support for diversity. However not much support was given in terms of visiting other areas of the bank, and was told that learning about other areas of the bank would not help me to get a job.
I was not given any day to day tasks which meant that a lot of my time was not maximised due to the lack of work I had to complete. This meant that in terms of time management I had to learn how to do tasks slowly in order to try and fill my time.
was not given much responsibility as there were no tasks to give me
I feel that I have not learnt as much as I was hoping to learn, but hopefully will be able to use some of what I have done for my dissertation
The Company
office was very quiet as many people worked from home
not very organised as I was placed in an area where there was no work to e given to me, and lack of communication
training in the first week was useful
reasonably as would like to work for the bank, just not in the area i was in
The Culture
went out for drinks after work every week
very expensive, but normal for london
good on a thursday
nothing
