The Role
The Company
The office atmosphere was friendly although quite quiet. However there was little collaboration across teams and general conversion.
The organisation could have been better, with better communication between early careers and line managers in particular. The lack of communication between line managers and early careers often felt things were done last minute and with little knowledge, for example when conducting reviews.
The training on the induction week was helpful in providing a base layer of knowledge. There was very little training if any once I was in my position and I was expected to just pick up things along the way.
Healthcare/Dental
RBS salary is competitive and many other benefits are benchmarked against other financial institution so overall it is appealing to work for RBS in the future. The culture of RBS is generally inclusion and collaborative with a very pleasant work environment
The Culture
There were very little graduates in some of the regional offices and there was pretty much no regular social activities. However because there was a small number of interns, we found we all got to know each other rather quickly and regularly went out to lunch together and for drinks after work.
Rather cheap, normal midlands living costs.
