  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed the work I did, the opportunities I was given to learn more about RBS and the chances I got to visit other departments within the bank.

  • I was well looked after by my colleagues.

  • My line manager was very busy and wasn't in the office most of the time.

  • I was given a lot of work at the start of the internship. However this tailed off towards the end.

  • I was assigned to put together a prospect list and manage a major food and drink event at the office headquarters.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Will not help me as much in my degree as day to day life.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Good atmosphere, everyone was very accommodating.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • First week was well organised, however the structure of the body of the internship was sporadic in term of the amount of work I was assigned.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The first week in London we were provided training by Fitch ratings which proved to be a valuable experience.

  • Cost of living was not to bad.
