The Role
Everyone was incredibly friendly (including the other vac schemers) which made it easy to enjoy the experience.
I felt valued and confortable with the people in the team I was working in.
Whenever I struggled with things, people in the team were always happy to help when I asked questions.
I was kept very busy during the placement as I did a lot of work for my department and was (as other vac schemers were) involved in an interesting but also difficult project.
I was given quite a bit of responsibility but everything I did was checked by others first to ensure that I didn't make any mistakes.
I think that a vac scheme is always a good experience to have as you develop the practical skills needed in this industry. Sometimes university doesn't always help with this! I will now be more practical and 'straight to the point' in everything that I do.
The Company
Busy but still fun. Every now and again someone would pop into the office for a quick chat and then go back to work.
The whole vac scheme was organised incredibly well!
I think Nabarro invests a lot into its vacation schemers because most of the training contracts go to people on the vacation scheme.
