The Role
I got on really well with my line manager and everyone in my team. I was really involved with the team and always had work to do. I did meaningful work and not just admin tasks. My line manager gave me constructive feedback throughout the internship to allow me to develop. The team I was based in was quite social so I could get on well with the team.
I was given meaningful work to do and feedback after every task. My team invited me to meetings and calls, they always made sure that I had interesting work to do. I was really welcomed by the team.
My line manager was brilliant. She gave me appropriate and constructive feedback throughout the process. I was given the right amount of work, she made sure that I had things to do. She also supported me throughout the projects making sure that I had enough time.
I was given the right amount of work. Some days were busier than others, for example when a paper was due in. I never felt too much pressure, but I was never sitting around doing nothing. I always asked for more work when it was needed.
I contributed to credit and sightings papers, and often my work was not changed before submission. My manger gave me tasks that she knew I was capable of and trusted me to do them to a high standard.
Although the skills I developed aren't relevant to my degree they are relevant to my future career. I have learnt a lot throughout the internship as I had little knowledge of banking previous to the internship. The skills I have learnt are transferable to the graduate scheme if I am successful, or to any other future career.
The Company
Everyone was really friendly and welcoming.
My team were great but the overall organisation was pretty poor. There is little information on the hiring process and the on boarding was very disorganised.
I wasn't there long enough for any formal training, but I developed a lot of skills.
The process is slightly unclear.
The Culture
My colleagues were very social
