The Role
The placement was really enjoyable with a good balance between daily work and networking
Colleagues made time for me when I needed to more often than not
My managers offered me a lot of support and guidance however on occasions were not as precise with feedback as I would have liked them to be.
I thought that my internship allowed for the perfect balance. I had a lot to do which was at times extremely hard to balance, but I feel it reflected how the workplace would normally be if a job was secured and really enjoyed it.
On a markets internship, I was not given too much responsibility as due to compliance there wasn't too much I could help with. However, I was given tasks to do in which I was able to exercise some amount of freedom
I feel I learnt a lot, and will certainly benefit from the skills I learnt if I were to obtain a job in the industry, although more could have been done to help me learn more role specific things
The Company
The atmosphere was really good, very fast paced and challenging but at the same time everyone was extremely friendly
Some rotations were very organised, however others could have been more so
We had three days of role specific training, however I feel more specific training could have been offered
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Healthcare/Dental
Travel loan
Would be very appealing but are significantly cutting back front office
The Culture
London was obviously very expensive but we were compensated for it with our wages
