The Role
A great deal, the people were really nice and helpful. I was able to take ownership of projects and given a good amount of responsibility.
I felt very valued - I always felt that they were providing suuport and insight to help me learn and progress
I was given a lot of help - questions were always welcomed and my line manager put time aside every week to talk to me 1 on 1 to make sure I was getting the most out of the internship.
This varied due to the different monthly deadlines, although I always felt like I had things to do and ongoing projects that I could come back to when I had extra time. I additionally never felt like my work load was too much to take on
This increased during my time at Lloyds - I was initially able to get an understanding of the devision and took responsibility for more and more projects as I picked stuff up
very helpful
The Company
Calm and friendly
Vey well organised due to the service excellence programme the division has adopted.
webinars were held at the start of the programme with initial introduction into banking. There were additional resources on the Lloyds intranet site that I was encouraged to utilise along with talking to other departments who sat with me and discussed to develope my understanding of the area they worked in.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
The graduate scheme is a very appealing option and since Lloyds tend to hire internally, I imagine it makes it easier to get promoted. The majority of people that work here have worked here for over 10 years and enjoy their job.
The Culture
yes, there was about 40 of us in Edinburgh and everyone included each other in plans so there was always something to do if you wanted to
There was a variety of cheap and expensive options in Edinburgh
very good, we were in Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival
Yes, there is a charity challenge for Children in Need and you could get as involved in that as you wanted
