    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a good week. As well as doing work in the Construction department, there were assessments and social events. It was very well organised

  • The solicitors did really appreciate the work that I helped them with

  • The people in my department were great and my supervisor was very helpful.

  • Most of the time I had work to do. Occasionally I did ask around and no one had anything, but quickly enough someone always came up with something

  • I had never done any work in Construction previously, and I was only there for a week, so I did not expect responsibility

  • Definitely worthwhile for my future career in law - another area that I now have some experience in

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was very friendly, and although sometimes people seemed stressed, others in the department seemed to keep morale up

  • Very well organised

  • Not applicable as I was only there for a week

  • I still haven't heard whether I have been offered a training contract. There were a lot of vacation scheme students so it was still very competitive

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Trainees were fun and seemed to go out a lot together socially

  • Leeds is pretty cheap

  • I was a student here so have the highest regard for it!

  • Trainees very pro-active socially so yes
