The Role
It was extremely well organised and gave you a good overall view of the firm as a whole.
Everyone was generally supportive and made an effort to get you involved.
If you needed anything you could easily ask for support or help. You were not left in the dark to struggle.
This varied from day to day and from department to department but we were given other work from grad recruitment if there was nothing else to do.
Again I feel like varied from department to department but I thought there was an effort made to get us involved.
It definitely equips you with the knowledge of what actually goes on in a big commercial firm, what's expected of trainees and the career of being a solicitor in general.
The Company
The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming but also professional. It also varied through the week.
Extremely well organised. I got a good idea of what it would be like to work at the firm.
Grad recruitment made a real effort to ensure we what we wanted out of the placement. If you had any particular requests they would do their best to accommodate them.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
You are given the option to do an assessment centre on the last day and they give you feedback regarding your intial performance at the interview to get the vac scheme.
The Culture
We were taken to a number of social events and we also organised our own trips out.
Expensive! It's central London! But we had social events paid for by the firm.
Extremely fun but expensive!
There was a chance to get involved with a handful of sports clubs.
