The Role
Very much enjoyed being in a real work world environment. Have been let down massiely in university projects so working with people who wanted to work was excellent
Warmly welcomed
Support was MUCH greater than I have ever recieved at university.
Always could find work do to.
I was given a responsibilty for a large sector of work, which I was able to manage well. For the last 6-7 months of my placement I had a graduate working for me.
Although not directly applicable to my degree, the generic work skills you pick up are invaluable.
The Company
People were very sociable.
I was initially offered a job I hadn't applied for (software engineering not systems engineering) but was very happy with they way it ran.
No particular training courses - could have felt like cheap labour for a year. I have been offered a job for when I go back though.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
I have been offeref a job, but would be foolish to not bother looking elsewhere
The Culture
There were 6 interns at the company, and we all got along very well indeed. We were friends not work collegues.
I lived with my university friends.
Portsmouth is a university town, so what you expect.
Oppertunaties of volunteering at airshows etc. during the summer months
