The Role
I found the experience as a whole engaging and focused on personal development.
My colleagues regarded me as a part of the team, including me in all team meetings and explaining situations if I did not have the relevant knowledge.
My supervisor gave me briefings on a semi regular briefings, however due to the booking of holidays was not present for an extended period.
During the placement at times I felt as though the workload was not stretching on challenging.
I was responsible for my own time management and given responsibility and leadership in the intern project.
During the placement I believe that my understanding of technical aspects were increased, however the work I was given did not allow me to test this understanding
The Company
Good sense of teamwork and working together in the office I was situated.
The format of this internship was very clearly laid out, with clear exit and mid placement reviews.
There was very little formal training given to me, however the company invested significant time into our development and gave us an outward bound course, conference and certificate upon completion,
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Being a large company with lots of different sites I would certainly consider taking up employment at the company, however I would consider looking at other sites.
The Culture
Yes, both with the other interns and my team.
Lived at home so not applicable, however other interns said that rental prices were decent.
Nightlife was passable
Yes, there were lots of activities in the local area
