The Role
The job was really good. I learned a lot and i really valued my time herer.
I had some meaningful work in my internship. As an intern you are by no means an essential part of the team but the more time I spent with the tema the more valued I felt.
I have always been busy. Some days very very busy where i would need to get in early and leave very late. Or other days where I am just occupied for the whole day, but still able to leave on time etc.
I have been given a good level of responsibility for an intern. Not absolutely loads, but i have been in contact with clients, and been left to my own devices to sort out things that I have been given.
I have learned a lot more about the sector. I have devloped my presentation skills, powerpoint skills, excel and then been trained on a whole host of in house systems such as Disco, ICRS and One MI.
The Company
The office is a great place to work. Everyone is approachable, which is not always the case in other offices or on other floors. All of the people working in the department are extremely competent and good at their jobs. The team has been welcoming and helped me every step of the way, especially the grads.
The internship was relatively well organised. There were evetns within FI organised by the emerging talent team hear which was really good. As a whole there could have been better comunication as to what to expect from the internship, who your manager is etc.
Collegues took time out of their day to explain products, and how things worked. They have invested a lot of time into myself and other interns to make sure that we understand the area of the bank that we are in and that we understand the workings of each of the different areas in our department.

The organisation has been really good to work for. I would definitely strongly consider joining the organisation come september.
The Culture
The social scene was excellent. I lived in the same halls that many other Lloyds interns lived in and it has been brilliant. each weekend fellow interns have wanted to do things, go out for drinks or do activities in the day such as watching the football.
Very very expensive. But you get paid well to compensate.
The nightlife has been fantastic. There are loads of night clubs, bars and pubs.
Yes, there have been loads of social things to get involved in.
