The Role
The atmosphere really helped keep spirits up, I was surrounded by a great team.
Even though I was outside of my specialist area I was constantly receiving positive feedback for my efforts.
My manager was very responsive to my needs and allowed me the freedom to tailor my experience to what I am more interested in.
There were heavy workload days with meetings in between but also ones where there wasn't a lot to break it up and keep it fresh.
I was able to take the lead on important projects that will continue in my absence going forward.
The confidence and self believe to achieve outside of my specialist area now allows me to be prepared for most challenges.
The Company
Always laughter and light conversation could easily flow from productive and constructive to trivial and refreshing.
In some senses, for me, I could have used more deadlines, structure and more strictly defined briefs.
There have been many opportunities to present back to senior stakeholders and to see other areas of the business.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Travel loan
Progression as part of the grad scheme is often alluded to but not formally or coherently explained.
The Culture
Made great friends with many in mine and the wider team, often going for socials.
Costly but as I'm a student the team did cover me most of the time!
London has everything.
Charity challenge, innovation jams, digital sports day, digital start/end of month drinks, etc.
