About You
What i enjoyed most about my time at Savill's , was being able to sit in the team i was designated to and see all of the different tasks that the job entailed.
I feel like i was constantly being asked if i was okay, and if i needed help. This made me feel like they really wanted me there and to enjoy my time with them.
During the week the guys in my team were always asking me if i needed help and also telling me that if they need anything in the future even after my Insight week that they can always send them and e-mail with my queries. One even helped me sort out my CV once i had left.
It helped me understand the different anomalies that can affect the real working profession and understand that things can go wrong, where as in my studies everything is hypothetical and will always have way to solve the problem.
The Company
The Insight week was well structured from the beginning we were notified weeks if not months in advance and as soon as we arrived we were given timetables of how our week was going to plan out. Very efficient.
The team i worked in were always doing some type of Job so the atmosphere was like that of an office. Quiet but peaceful and hard working.
They invested their time with me which is just as valuable as anything else, and they trained me on all of the different systems they use and also where to find everything on their filing system.
It helped me to understand that the teams in the firm are all their to help each other , and that you will always have a different task to do. This also meant that you will never run out of jobs because you can always help someone else.
The insight Programme didn't really help me understand much except from the fact that they all enjoy their job and have aspirations and that the company will help accommodate those aspirations.
The content of the day to help me decide my career path was brief but helped me to understand what i enjoyed and what i didn't and also what interested me most.
Everything Else
We had a networking meeting with the directors in that office as well as other teams within the office.
They were small but nice, you could go around and talk to everyone without feeling awkward.
I didn't find out much about out of work activities.
I would definitely recommend it was very helpful.
