  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed being able to contribute to the company and felt that my role was not insignificant!

  • They make me feel very valued as i am now able to ease the workload and share some of the responsibilities.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • We have a close but professional relationship, and work as a productive and effective team. I feel confident that i can ask for help as the team i am part of are very approachable and supportive.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Workload was quite intense as certain times, but never unmanageable.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • In my Fleet managers absence i was made responsible for some organising some important projects and monitoring the development of preparations for exhibitions.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Very much so as i was able to apply the theory to direct situations, i now feel i have some real life experience from within a multi-national company- which i can now apply to my studies.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was very down to earth and friendly, we could always have a laugh, however we still remained professional and focused on the jobs in hand!

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Extremely organised and accommodating. A day was organised previous to starting where all of the Industrial placement students got to meet each other. On arrival i was inducted and introduced to my team and the other departments on my floor.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Very much so, we undertook three full days training focusing an a variety of areas including 'self development.' I also feel i have gained a tremendous amount of skills which have proved to be of much use.

  • Very appealing, i felt proud to be part of the organisation.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes, everyone got on well and we organised many social events together out of work hours.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • For myself it was not too expensive as i lived locally so was able to stay at home.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Always a good night out, and not too far to go so taxi's were'nt expensive.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Several, but due to my horse riding - competing and training committments i was often unable to take part.
