The Role
People in the office are super nice and always checking whether we are happy and know what we are doing.
There are quite often team building activities, they are not compulsory, however its really helpful in the beginning to meet everyone in the team informally My team invites me to lunch quite often, sometimes its just picking up some food in the mall, or on the canteen.
There are mid term review and end of term review where your manager will give 3 strengths and 3 weakness to you. Its really helpful to see whether you are on track or not. My team is super nice and always provided me feedback on pieces of work I did, making sure I understand and know what to do next.
I got assigned with some tasks to be completed by the end of internship, so not really busy daily. However, my another role is to assist with my team on ad-hoc request, so that depends on the volume.
I was expected to do the internship projects and also taking up the full time employee role in the office. I was dealing with real time ad-hoc case just like other people in my team.
I got a valuable insight of the area I work on during the internship. Apart from the technical side, theres a lot soft skills involved and I am sure this will help in all ways anyways.
The Company
everyone is so nice, occasionally there are food around. people do chat to people and its very lively.
First day introduction of the firm culture, and other essential information. Second day onwards, on the desk working. In the mean time, there are some global senior speaker including Jamie Dimon and other high up people delivering speeches. There is review session in the mid term and a email communication from HR every week.
I did an external vendor provided training course during my stay.
I got the offer on my last day, but I am not sure where I will be starting as a grad.
The Culture
there are monthly happy hour with the whole team and occasionally weekly happy hour with some people in the team.
London is just ridiculously expensive, however there are so much things going on, so...
don't know, normally go home before 6pm.
I did volunteering on food packaging, its quite fun.
