The Role
The firm and the people make this such an enjoyable experience. There has been a lot of effort put in to making it a valuable experience. The talks we received were carefully planned so as to tailor talks to an extremely relevant level.
Every person in the firm was approachable and friendly. We were allocated supervisors and buddies who went the extra mile to make us feel a valued part of the team.
Extremely supportive people throughout.
I experienced the perfect balance of work. There is always the opportunity to request more work if needed but I found I had the perfect amount to do to allow me to talk to the people I was sitting with as well as prepare for the presentation we were assigned.
The aim of the placement was not to give us huge amounts of responsibility which was a good thing as it meant we were free to learn what we could whilst we were here. We were given complete responsibility for presentations which were a good learning experience.
This placement certainly built on skills that are necessary throughout a career.
The Company
Extremely friendly and a great working environment
It was really well organised - especially the talks we were given
Invested time into us which was extremely appreciated.
Subsidised Canteen
It is not known yet what the outcome is of a job but the firm offers great opportunity for those that complete a vacation scheme so, in this respect, the prospects would be good for someone who completed a vacation scheme as the firm invests time and energy into you and wants to see you do well.
The Culture
Social scene was good. Everyone got on well and we went out together after work on a few occassions. The firm's arranged socials were brilliant.
London is expensive!
Did not really experience it on the placement
Yes the firm organised social activities and we attended a charity event with members of the firm.
