    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I felt i really improved my knowledge of a community pharmacy and its daily workings. I felt that i was able to cope with the work load to the expected standard of my tutor. I really enjoyed the team work involved and felt that i devloped many personal skills as well as professional stills during the 6 weeks.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My work colleagues treated me very well, i felt welcome from the start and was never made to feel afraid to ask for help or advice.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Any support or advice i was given by my tutor was really helpful and it always clarified the issue for me. However due to being in a very busy pharmacy i didnt always get as much one to one help as maybe i could of had.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Most days were very busy with prescritions to be done or other duties to be completed. Althought being busy was good, having a bit more time to talk with my tutor without having to do duties would of been good.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given as much responsibility as any other member of staff to do my duties.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
