The Role
The internship at Atkins was enjoyable, I was kept busy with real engineering work that impacted both Atkins and our clients.
As an undergraduate I expected to feel a little undervalued however that was not the case at Atkins. Everyone was very nice and treated me as a colleague capable of work equal to them.
At no point during my placement did I ever feel overwhelmed, I constantly had aid from anyone on the team.
The majority of days I was busy but not overworked, as with any consultancy there are short occasions when work can be quiet however there's always someone you can help out.
The level of responsibility I received far exceeded my expectations. My work was checked by senior engineers for safety reasons however all work produced is always checked by another engineer.
The skills I've learnt at Atkins have proven to be invaluable, both engineering related and general people skills.
The Company
The office was always very professional yet welcoming.
The internship seemed well organised.
I feel I've been heavily invested in despite only being with Atkins for 12 weeks.

I plan to return to Atkins' graduate scheme should I be accepted.
The Culture
There was however I couldn't attend due to prior commitments.
Very cost effective.
