The Role
Highly enjoyed working at GE, best decision I have made as the personal and technical development I have been able to have has been great.
High levels of communication between almost all team members lead to me feeling very welcome and very comfortable working with my colleagues.
I felt as though management and my supervisors were always there if ever needed any assistance or support.
Business varied due to different activities on the project, and also the amount of other work related volunteering I was involved in, but I was never idle.
I was working as a part of a team that had much more experience engineers in it, but I did not feel I was giving very easy jobs, so a high level of responsibility.
I feel I have learnt a lot , and developed a lot, and have gained skills through being in a work environment that will be invaluable in the future.
The Company
The office environment was very good, with a lot of social aspects to work as well, such as engagement activities, and sports activities.
I felt that the placement was very well organised, with GE including the placement on a mini-project with graduates and apprentices, in order for integration of all employees.
The company gave me a lot of opportunities for personal development, through company volunteering activities.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I am looking forward to working at GE in the future.
