The Role
My response to this question depends on the rotation - the work varies significantly between the two, with one significantly more enjoyable than the other.
As above
As above
As above, one desk was significantly busy most days whereas the other I would find myself looking for tasks frequently
This depends on the rotation and the level of trust you develop with your team.
What I learned over the placement will help me for years to come
The Company
The floor is large and the atmosphere varies by desk. Generally it was very collaborative
Less organised than the summer internship - placement analysts were given a lot more free reign
A lot of networking and development events scheduled for analysts and associates in the firm, very useful
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare/Dental
Received a permanent job offer
The Culture
Drinks are a weekly occurrence on Fridays, social events are organised as well
High, to be expected of Canary Wharf and London
Most of the venues in Canary Wharf are chain pubs/bars/restaurants
Encouraged
