The Role
It was a great learning experience, got to do a variety of tasks.
My colleagues were extremely comfortable to work with. They answered all my questions to related tasks and provided extra support in delivering them.
I could turn up at my manager's desks whenever I wanted and with whatever question I had. He used to help me straight away. I also had weekly one-to-ones with my manager to make sure I am on the right track, and talked through how the entire week went. He also provided feedback on completed pieces of work and discussed the new challenges coming up the following week.
The workload was well balanced and I was quite busy on average.
I was given responsibility of a varied range of tasks- large projects as well as small day-to-day tasks, It was amazing how my team handed over important pieces of work to me and trusted me with them.
The skills I have developed and the experience I have gained, I feel is very transferrable to whichever career path I choose ahead.
The Company
Very friendly and collaborative.
The overall set up was okay. But could have been better.
The Culture
We had to plan our own intern drinks. The company hadn't scheduled any social activities or get-togethers for interns.
My office was in Milton Keynes, and I used to commute from London. There are different food places and pubs near the office where we used to go after work to socialise.
No. We all had our CSR projects so that was the only activity we were all involved in.
