  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • The internship was very enjoyable, the people were very welcoming and we received a lot of support throughout.

    • My manager and colleagues included me in as many meetings as projects as possible, regularly requesting feedback and input.

    • I met once a week with my manager for a 121 and had regular contact with my recruitment partner about my progrss and development.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • Being busy fluctuated throughout the internship, when the team was busy so was I, on quieter periods I think the team struggled to find me certain work but always accomodated this with research tasks.

    • I was given certain projects to complete and I felt like my contribution made a genuine impact on the business.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I learnt a lot about the mortgage department and feel as though the 10 weeks have provided me with lots of industry knowledge and softer skills.

    • Fantastic atmosphere, a team of really good people.

    • It is a scheme that is constantly adapted, more dial ins and knowledge sessions would improve things.

    • I was included on training events and given access to many of the internal systems.

    • Yes, the onboarding and offboarding events as well as charity fundraisers brought all interns together.

    • Leeds/Bradford was very reasonable.

    • Leeds is a great city for nightlife.
