About You
I really enjoyed the 3 days at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. It was an amazing opportunity to get to know the company and to get insights into how their divisions conduct their business. I also appreciated the various networking events and skills sessions. Especially the work-shadowing part was something invaluable that we were lucky to get offered by the bank.
I felt valued to the full extend as the bank and HR in particular had so many different ideas and plans to keep us learning and to help us to make the best out of the programme. We realized how much Bank of America Merrill Lynch invested in us and therefore it became clear that the company sees its employees as its most important asset.
Whenever I had a question, HR and the business representatives from various divisions were willing to help me in an enthusiastic way. Whether it was a question about the bank and the business or general organizational issues of the programme, the guidance I got always helped me out.
The insight programme proved to be an invaluable pool of information about the industry and investment banking in general. The skills we developed through networking or the skills sessions themselves will definitely be very useful in pursuing a career in finance but also in almost every field of studying and working as we learned in particular how to approach new people and how to work in a team.
The Company
The insight was well structured as it focused on getting to know each other in the beginning, then headed on to getting to know the divisions and in the end also presented some additional aspects of working at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. My only recommendation is that it would have been even greater if it would have been a whole week long.
The general atmosphere was amazing as all the participants were really bright and driven people from all different kinds of countries, universities and degrees.
The bank offered many different skill sessions, networking events and made it possible for me and all the other participants to develop important interpersonal skills.
Through the work-shadowing in particular, I really got to know how a full time role would be.
Very much. By spending several days at the company one really gets to know the culture and how it is different from other companies.
It has proven to be invaluable as it finally confirmed me to pursue a specific career in a specific field. I can really recommend this programme to everyone interested in finance.
Everything Else
Yes, lots of it as I mentioned earlier.
They were interesting and also informing.
