The Role
This internship was the best experience I had. Having the chance to work within such a big company, with such professional people was very interesting!
My colleagues were busy most of the time, but they tried to give me work as soon as they had some tasks that needed to be done.
My manager was busy most of the time, but she tried to give me support from time to time when she found some free time in her schedule.
There were days where I was really busy that I had to stay a bit late. Other days I didn't have much work so I had to look for tasks by myself, or just read a few documents online!
At the beginning I wasn't given much responsibility. But at some point, I was working at 2 tasks simultaneously which both made me take responsibility.
I developed many skills during the internship and acquired a deeper knowledge in both Technology and Business.
The Company
People are very friendly and the office was really calm.
The internship was very well organised. The HR had organised the induction day, networking events, assigned each intern a senior advisor and a buddy... The work environment should be set up prior to interns arrival though (ensuring all software is set up and all requests are given).
We had many chances to attend conferences about different subjects (Technology, Business, Time Manegement...), as well as having talks organized by senior employees.

J.P. Morgan is a huge company, where anyone can find the position to suit him. Several opportunities exist within the company, especially for interns who were offered the CDP Program. It is a company where you feel valued and you could see yourself growing fast.
The Culture
Socializing with other inters was the best part of the internship. More than 150 interns were based in Bournemouth, and almost everyone lived in the same student accommodation. We had the chance to get to know each others, I made some best friends among the interns!
Since Bournemouth is a summer destination for tourists, the cost of living was a bit expensive. However, many restaurants and clubs were not expensive.
Nighlife was good. We sticked to 3 or 4 clubs, we used to choose one and go clubbing every week.
Yes. Many events were organised by different teams. Also, we participated in the JPMC Volunteering day where we spend a day out of the office.
