The Role
I really enjoyed my 10 weeks internship at EDF Trading in the IT Department. My project was very interesting and enriching as well as personally and professionally. I learnt and discovered a new environment, new software, and new programming language. It was a challenging project.
I was supported by every colleague and considered as a part of my team. My colleagues were very cheerful and they are always available to answer all my questions. I really appreciate all their support.
I was given support and guidance from my manager to ask questions. He ensured that I plan my work and given me advices to realise my project correctly. He also helped me to prepare the final project presentation by doing several blank presentations.
I was busy every day until the begin to the end of my internship.
I had the opportunity to learn new programming languages and create workflows which are important for my engineer diploma and my work in particular for the Information Systems management. All my project also allow me to improve my understanding concerning the business functioning.
The Company
The general atmosphere was positive, The colleagues was very nice and always there to help each others when necessary.
The internship set up was well organised, we had several lunch and learn to discover business activities and I found that very interesting for intern who works in the IT Department because it is important to well understand the business to meet their needs correctly.
First of all, I improved my English skills by practising it every day with my colleagues. I also increase my IT and management knowledges thanks to new programming language that I discovered and new method that I develop to create the solution. Furthermore, the formal presentation courses was very helpful and allow me to improve my presentation skills.

London is known as being an expensive city. However, we can find a large range of cost to live in.
London is full of different places so I think you can find and do whatever you want. Visiting the city, drink, etc.
