The Role
Good opportunity to network, exposure to different teams in Operations
My colleagues were always helpful and willing to help me complete my project.
I would have a weekly meeting with my manager to check the status of my project. also, the guests from the speaker series were helpful as well.
The assignment was enough to keep me busy about 60% of the time, which gave me the chance to shadow other teams.
I was given a research project that was related to the activities performed by my team, but no daily tasks.
I study Accounting and Finance, and this internship was a confirmation that I do want to have a long term career in banking.
The Company
The atmosphere was calm and the people were very helpful.
I liked the speaker series in Operations, which gave us a broader view on this function. Gaining access though was time consuming and the IT support can be very slow.
In the first week all of us had some general training sessions. After that, everyone is willing to help you as long as you ask.
Company Parties/Events
I would like to come back for the graduate scheme.
The Culture
We had a few socials and speaker series. also, we would sometimes have lunch together or meet after work.
The costs were relatively high, but so was the salary.
There are a few bars and clubs around Bank, but I only went to a few of them.
Meeting with other interns, but generally not really.
