The Role
I enjoyed my time at Siemens being involved in a friendly working environment, being involved in a variety of activities that contributed to my development.
The relationship between my and my colleagues was built on trust. I was impressed by the work that I was delegated to do, due to the fact that I was only an intern, but already involved in some important projects.
I can say that I was guided throughout my internship and I was encouraged to ask for support if I needed it during this period. It was more from what I need rather than what they give.
It was a balance of activities. I was working on a piece of work that needed more analysis and reading rather than manual tasks, so sometimes I could have an idea when I was out of office. But in terms of hours of work it is all respected and you do not have the pressure to work more than you have to.
My involvement in the department was really high and I gained a lot of confidence during this internship, due to my manager that involved me in a lot of activities that sometimes required an advanced knowledge of business.
As I am a Business School student this internship is relevant to my studies. The skills that I acquired during this period will assist me in my future career. It might not cover all skill set that I am looking for, but it covered the most part of it.
The Company
People are friendly and willing to help. I was supported in providing my opinion and the employees were considering my opinion as a colleague not as an intern. There are a lot of event organised for the people and I was more than welcome to join that events.
The overall internship was well organised and i do not have any queries regards this point.
My manager ensured that I was trained for performing the work in my specific department. I attended several workshops that helped me to improve my activity in Siemens.
In terms of working environment it is one of the best places for a graduate to be involved in. It all depends if you find that department and the job appealing to your future career targets.
The Culture
Yes, all people really friendly.
The office was located near London but the prices was not too big. They were acceptable for my own expenses.
The office was located in a more rural area and I was not going out a lot during this internship.
Not really, I was more involved during my work hours and I was happy with that.
