The Role
It was tough; definitely not for the faint hearted, and I realised that you really need to want to be there and like what you do in order to go far with it. There were several ups and downs, but plenty of support was at hand, and I was very well looked-after.
I felt very valued; all the employees, no matter what position they were, took time to talk to me and help me understand things, and I really appreciated that. Everyone was happy to help.
I was given a lot of guidance throughout my internship from my manager, my colleagues and HR.
I was very busy, but still had enough time to take care of my own projects. I learnt the value of effective time management!
I had help in a lot of my projects, but was also given responsibility, and point of improvement, which I was very grateful for.
I have definitely learnt skills for life; these couple of months have taught me a very large amount; organisation is key, time management is vital and more than anything, communication skills are integral when it comes to future progression.
The Company
It was fast paced at times, calm at times, but always moving. There was always something to do.
The organisation was immaculate. We were provided with information sessions throughout the internship which added to our learning; and we were given the opportunity to network numerous times.
The company invested a lot of time in us, providing us with information sessions and networking opportunities, and helping us financially settle in during the first week.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
I am glad to have been given the chance to continue with this company.
The Culture
Other interns were quite sociable, and everyone kept it professional.
Situated in the heart of London, living and socialising in the area was expensive.
There are many bars where employees can enjoy drinks, however there were no student-type clubs.
I did not encounter any such events.
